Amethyst Original Watercolor Painting
Amethyst Original Watercolor Painting
This was one of my first crystal paintings, and I painted this piece using Amethyst Genuine paint- a pigment made with crushed amethyst. In the closeup photo you can see how the painting sparkles in the light. This is truly a special piece for that reason. I love walking past it and seeing it glimmer, and knowing it contains real amethyst crystals. This particular amethyst specimen is from the famed Jackson’s Crossroads mine in Georgia.
This piece was painted using traditional watercolor materials (mineral-based painted and sable brushes) on 100% cotton watercolor paper. The dimensions of this piece are 6.5”x9,” so it is a little smaller that my other pieces and may require custom framing.
I highly recommend framing with AmericanFrame.com, and domestic frame company that uses American-milled hardwoods to create their durable and classic frames.
